After one mind-shattering night with a stranger at a local leather bar leaves him forever changed, Gabriel lives on the streets as a vagrant to elude the master who hunts him, but the were-shifter is a fierce, stubborn predator who reclaims him soon enough. Gabriel is carried away to the pack’s home territory where his instruction on what it means to be the pet of an alpha begins. Gabriel isn’t just any pet, though. He is the rarest among their kind: a human omega.

Treasured? Or cursed?

As Gabriel’s father, the Distinguished Gentleman from Pennsylvania and stalwart of the conservative party, pushes the considerable resources at his disposal to locate his missing son, Gabriel explores who and what he is under his master’s careful protection. Gabriel falls for the shifter who is lover and destroyer, owner and…friend?

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and elements, dubious consent, male/male sexual practices.

This is the story of what it means to be owned, body and soul, and the turmoil it creates within Gabriel when trying to reconcile his need to subjugate to his Sir, while there is still a part of him that demands he run as far and as fast as possible. But, perhaps more than that, this is a story of trust and the significance of a bond between a Master and his sub, made all the more challenging when the need these two men feel for each other has nothing to do with free will and everything to do with an instinct so primitive they are both powerless to fight it…The bond between the two men evolves beautifully, from a primitive consumption to an imperative desire to be what the other needs, entirely and willingly. Top 2 Bottom Reviews

These are not happy puppy werewolves frolicking in the woods (in fact, we never even see them shift). These are hard, aggressive shifters and the sex between Gabriel and Cal is equally hard and aggressive….It is an intense world, but definitely worth the read. Joyfully Jay

One Response to I, Omega

This one saddened me a bit. Of course it was excellent story, dark, erotic, sometimes a bit brighter, but…
When I read it, I had an impression of lack of air. Like someone caged my lungs.
I like a lot bdsm stories and stuff, but… To tell the truth I pitied Gabriel most of the times. Because, ok, he like to be matered. Yet he couldn’t even dress himself. I mean – he couldn’t go anywhere alone (and probably never will be able to) and he will probably always be only pet. He will never be able to tell something that isn’t covered with Cals mind without punishment. He always be treated like something nice and pretty, yet brainless. He’s good to fuck, to care for, to pet, to wash and feed, but no one for real will take his words. At least not unconditionally. He always be only pet, like a pooch little bit smarter than ordinary dog. He’s breaken already, I’m not sure if he is even himself or if his character completely disapperaed, replaced. Erased by brainwashing aka much of sex.
I really have this impression that there isn’t the same mind in his skull. Ok, people change, but not to the point where person you were before this metamorphosis vanish.
I’m worried, because at the end of the book (not end-end – a bit earlier) he was so mindless, careless about himself.
In “Collared” situation was similar if it’s about state of mind. But David and Emmett cared about it, wanted to fix this. And Cal seems to be ok with his brainwashed, mindless toy.

I liked this story a lot, but when I’ve finished reading, it left me very sad. That’s why, after few moments of thinking, I crave the most for sequel of this book. Because it seems to me, that Gabriel is in worst condition. He’s prisoner of his own lust, he’s bonded, and even though Cal can read his mind it seems, he doesn’t care about lot of feelings of this sweet man. For me alpha doesn’t give a damn about Gabriel’s character as long, as his omega is docile, agrees for everything (except those hard limits, but again it’s about fucking), as long as Cal have a head to pet, ass to spank and fuck he don’t care about Gaberiel’s personality. At least it looked like this for me.

Sorry for being chaotic, nothing of what I wrote was insulting for purpose (if something was. I just need to be sure that I was understood). I’d just like to be sure, that Gabriel won’t be only head to pat forever, that he’ll be able to tell what he thinks, to go somewhere without permission he begged for. I liked him, and I want to know, that he’s gonna be ok. :c

That’s why I think that waiting for this sequel will be hardest. But I’ll wait as patiently as I can, because putting pressure on author is rude. :p

Once again, sorry for being chaotic. :)
